What to expect

This is generally a day's work. We start underneath with an acid wash to lift waterline staining and marine growth, then machine polish and hand wax the hull from the waterline up.

Above the gunnel we machine buff and wax the superstructure, polish the stainless steel, and clean the seats, compartments and lockers. Carpet cleaning is included if your boat needs it.

Made for boats that live on a trailer

Trailer boats get rinsed at the ramp but rarely polished, so oxidation and waterline stains build up quickly in Northern Rivers sun and salt. A yearly detail keeps the gelcoat glossy and protected, and adding a ceramic coating makes the post-ramp wash down far easier.

Trailer Boat Detailing FAQs

How long does a trailer boat detail take?

A full trailer boat detail is generally a day's work: an underneath acid wash, hull machine polishing and hand waxing, then the superstructure, stainless steel, seats, compartments, lockers and carpets.

Can you detail my boat at home?

Yes. Northern Rivers Detailing comes to your home or work and details the boat while it sits on its trailer, so there is no need to launch it or tow it anywhere.

Do you clean underneath the hull?

Yes. We acid wash underneath to remove waterline staining and growth, then polish from the waterline up and hand wax the hull.
